When you open your Gmail account, click on the multi-coloured plus sign. This will open up a compose message (email) box in the bottom right corner of your web page.

In the "To" bar, type in the recipient's email address. If you have multiple recipients i.e. more than one person is going to get your email, simply press the space bar after typing in each email address, this will submit each email address. You can send your email/s to as many people as you like. The recipients don't need to have an address that ends with @gmail.com by the way, Gmail supports all kinds of domain.

Fill in your subject - This will be the purpose or topic of the email you're sending.


Now begin typing up your email until you're happy with the message. If you wish to attach documents, use the paperclip icon.

Step 1: From your inbox page, hover over and click the cog icon, next click the settings option to open your Gmail settings.

Step 2: Navigate to the undo send setting. Here you can edit the cancellation period, which is the number of seconds after sending an email where you can undo that email. This can be set to a length of 5, 10, 20 or 30 seconds. An "undo send" notification will now appear in the bottom left of your Gmail page each time you send a new email.

Step 1: Hover over an email at a time towards the far left side of your Gmail web page (next to the icons as you see on the left). Tick off the emails you wish to delete one by one until you are ready to send them to the bin folder.


Step 2: Click the bin icon that is above your list of emails (see image attached), this will send them to your bin folder. From here you can repeat the process used in option 1 when removing emails from your bin folder in Gmail.

If you are looking to delete a large number, or even simply, all of your emails in Gmail, there is an easy solution to do this, follow the steps below.


Step 1: Click on the empty box at the top right of your selected email folder (it is located next to the multi-coloured plus sign). This will select all of the emails on the current page. By default, the maximum number of emails you can have on one page is 50.

Step 2: If you just need to delete one page, you can simply click on the bin icon again and repeat the steps in the previous method. If you want to delete every email in your folder, click on the blue text which will say "Select all ### conversations in primary" (### means a certain number, by the way!). Once you have done this, you can simply click on the bin icon and repeat the previous steps mentioned in option 2.
