3 Most affordable monitors for multi-screen setup
Is dual-screen enough? How about three screens or more? Let us show you three great monitors that are not only affordable but perfect for a display set up of up to six monitors.
Have you ever watched the movie swordfish, where Hugh Jackman plays a hacker, and numerous screens surround him? We thought that was worth a mention since it is quite relevant to what we are about to discuss in this article. Not that we condone or promote the idea of hacking. Multiple screens are beneficial, especially if you are a trader, whether you work from the office or home. What we would like to show you are three great monitor options that are affordable and are readily able to mount on any of the racks you can find at your local hardware store or online.
There are many racks available in the market, but for the ones available in local shops, you have a limited set of options. Nonetheless, what they have in common is a universal mounting plate generally referred to as VESA. Which is why we have carefully selected the monitors that are compatible with these VESA plates, can be stacked seamlessly because of their rectangular design and are from a reliable brand name.
24" FHD Monitor (LS24R350FHEXXS) by Samsung
A twenty-four-inch monitor that is full HD and still less than two hundred dollars is a bargain. On three sides of this monitor, there is hardly a bezel, which is the frame around the edges of computer monitors. This Samsung monitor is perfect for dual or triple screen setup since the bezel-less design would make contact between the screen as seamless as possible. Unfortunately, this monitor still does have a bezel at the bottom, so if you were to do two rows of monitors, it would not look that nice.
Twenty four inches is a lovely size, not too large and not too small. If you want a large screen, why not a large screen TV. This Samsung monitor is well suited for gaming with its high 75Hz frame-rate and ready compatibility with Radeon graphics card.
ASUS VP228HE Gaming Monitor
Coming in at around one hundred and fifty dollars is this stellar gaming monitor. A gaming monitor we feel is much too small to satisfy the cravings of a serious gamer, in our opinion. This Asus monitor is about twenty-one and a half inches in size and mounts on a rack. Bring such an affordable monitor; it would not cost an arm and a leg to purchase six of them. The edges of this ASUS monitor are almost entirely right-angled, and the bezel thickness is consistent around the edges. You can stack these monitors left to right, top to bottom with no visible gap in between them.
Those worries about eye health from looking at the monitor for too long will be happy about this monitors two certifications by TUV, one for being flicker-free and the other for low blue light content. While many would argue if blue light is the cause of tiredness in the eyes, it is still good to know that you won't have to worry about it. Perfect for traders working from home who sit in front of the monitors for hours on end.
VA2223-H 22” Home and Office Monitor by ViewSonic
A twenty-two-inch monitor that costs less than one-hundred and fifty dollars, this monitor by ViewSonic is one of the most affordable, if not the most affordable VESA mountable monitor in the market today. Yes, there are brands out there like BenQ, Acer and LG, for example, which are also great options. Also available are local brands, which we have zero familiarity with, so we cannot have an honest opinion about them. At least we have given them the honourable mention they deserve; this is a list compiled from us here in Singapore with brands that we know are available around the world.
Marketed towards home and office users, this might also be an excellent option for hospitals, data research and many more applications. Quickly rack-mountable and stacked in any way you prefer, this monitor too protects you against blue lights and is flicker-free, just like the ASUS gaming monitor mentioned earlier. Plainly designed to keep the cost as low as possible, and should any monitor be accidentally damaged, a replacement will also not cost an arm and a leg. Multi-screens are fantastic, and techies love to have them in their home. So if you ever thought of buying monitors for dual screens or more, we hope our list can guide you on your path.
